- You can use a fast shutter speed to “freeze” the action. This works only if the action is obvious; for example a ski jumper in mid air.
- With the camera on a tripod, you can use a very slow shutter speed to blur the image of the moving subject while keeping the background in mid air.
- You can use a slow shutter speed and pan the camera to keep the subject sharp while creating streaks in the background.
